Are you still printing off e-mails from patients and handing the printed copy to who ever is tasked with completing the request?  There is a better way.
Basically, copy and paste the e-mail message into a task and assign it.

Here are the steps

  • Open the e-mail
  • Copy the text in the message by selecting it all and pressing Ctrl-C (or right click and click copy)
  • Open the corresponding patients file via the consultation tab
  • It would be good practice to add the e-mail address to the patients fie if it is not already there
  • On the summary page click on tasks
  • Click on add task
  • Paste the text from the e-mail into the Description box by pressing Ctrl-V or right clicking and click paste
  • In the assigned to tab click the person to whom the task is to be given too
  • Click Save and Close, then close the task dialogue box and the file
  • Now the e-mail request has been assigned and the e-mail can be closed.

Brilliant Michael , thanks a mil

How can I add pictures sent from patients to our email address to their charts ?(Surgeries’ email address)

Could that same be used for adding their patients queries -regular emails- to their charts ?
