Dear Doctor Centric are improving and formalising the process of welcoming new practices as they join. As part of this the CLT was asked to provide a welcome e-mail to new doctors which we have ready now. While discussing it, we felt that not all our existing Doctors and Nurses would be aware of everything in the message. We agreed that for your information we would send you a copy which is included below. Dear Doctor Welcome to Centric. We write to you on behalf of the Clinical Leadership Team ( CLT ) to tell you a little bit about what to expect over the coming months. The main message is that your day to day work will change very little, you are an independent practitioner with clinical autonomy and that will not change. What does change is that you are now part of a wider team that is here with help and support. It will take a bit of time to get to grips with all that is available and all the ins and outs of the Centric structures. Your practice has a local support team headed up by the Regional manager (RM) and containing Human Resources (HR) Finance Partner (FP) and a Quality Risk and Safety (QRS) personnel. These are available to you to help in any of these areas. On the clinical side we have a Medical Director in Dr Jean Gallagher and there is a Clinical Leadership Team consisting of GP and Nursing personnel who oversee clinical governance and act as a liaison with the operational side of Centric. Centric prides itself on having a clinical input at all levels of management. See the membership list below. We are in the process of building a buddy program for anyone that would like to have a buddy, highly recommended. More details will be provided to you. At a more individual level you will have been assigned a Centric Health e-mail address. It is important to start using this as soon as possible as it provides your gateway to lots of the information available to you. For instance we have a GP only discussion forum you can join, this is Centric GPs who can interact via e-mail as a group together. We have an annual conference every year in the autumn and other events such as NB Hot Topics from time to time so keep an eye out for announcements via your Centric Health e-mail. Throw in some Summer and Christmas parties and you can see there is lots available to get involved with. So lots to get to know, welcome to the team.
