It’s not at all obvious how to delete an allergy once entered which we all know is necessary sometimes, especially all those faux penicillin ones which we sometimes discover and want to get rid of.
You can’t do it from the allergy side bar, you can only do it through the prescription module in the patient file.  When in the prescription module if the patient has an allergy entered then it is visible at the bottom of the screen.
If you want to delete an allergy you highlight the allergy by clicking on it, then hit the delete key on the keyboard – there is no mouse click way to do it.  You will be prompted to enter a reason for removing the allergy.  The allergy is now removed.
In fact, it’s not actually removed, it is made inactive.  If there are inactive allergies you can see these by clicking on the inactive button, bottom right.  This displays inactive allergies including the reason they were made inactive.
