ICT Tip 20 – Windows – Play beep when caps lock hit

It’s a general windows tip this week.
I’d imagine most of you are like me and not able to touch type so generally I look at the keyboard rather than the screen when typing.  How often do you glance up to realise that you’ve just typed half your sentence iN CAPITALS!
Well, there is a windows setting that you can activate that will play a beep anytime the caps lock is inadvertently hit thus alerting you to the fact you might have switched to capitals.
To do this type settings in the windows search area on the task bar to find and open settings.
On the next screen click on the ease of access section.
In here click on keyboard on the left-hand side
Then on the right there is a section called Use Toggle keys
Under this there is a button that you can switch on that says “play a sound when you press caps lock, num lock or scroll lock”
