It’s not something that should happen very often but if an electronic message should land in the wrong file, it can be transferred to the correct file. Go to Communication==>Lab Messaging and on the left-hand side click Transfer Message. This dialogue below appears. [A screenshot of a computer Description automatically generated] 1: Find the patient that has the result 2: After selecting the patient click search – this searches for the list of all electronic results in the file and displays them as a list. 3: Select the message or messages you want to transfer 4: Find and select the patient file you want the result transferred to 5 Click Transfer The message is transferred, it will retain its current status e.g “in review” etc. Michael PS: There won’t be any tips for a few weeks as I am going on a long planned, extended trip, to visit family in Canada.
