Hi everyone Welcome to the new-look Centric Health GP Forum! If we have done our homework properly, this email should be going to all 220 GPs currently working in any of our 57 Centric Health GP Practices in Ireland. Most of you would have previously been part of this Forum when it was hosted on the now-defunct GroupSpaces platform (where it had lived since 2015 when we started with 57 GPs in 14 practices), and we hope this will run exactly the same way. Basically, if you want to start a discussion or ask a question of the group, you just send a message to the email address above which is gpdiscussion@centricgpforum.com<mailto:gpdiscussion@centricgpforum.com> And if we have added you in error, or you decide at any time that you don't want to keep receiving these emails (they aren't very frequent as you will soon see), the please drop me an email and I will have you expunged if you so wish. Also, if you would rather have these sent to a different email address then let me know. Likewise, if someone new joins your practice, please email me and I will add them to this ever-expanding band of dynamic young GP dynamos ("dynamos" Paul?.....really? - Ed) We like to think that this is a safe haven for GPs who work in any of the Centric Health GP practices in Ireland to come to exchange ideas and survival tips with like-minded colleagues. And remember, the only people who receive these emails are GPs who work in Centric Health practices....no one else in the Centric Health organisation has access here so don't be afraid to speak your mind! What the group WILL be: * A closed group for Centric Health GPs ONLY (please don't use an email address that might be shared by other staff in the practice, because sometimes we might comment about other staff and we really just want these chats to be between GPs ONLY) * A way to keep in touch with colleagues who you may rarely see or have never met * A way to share ideas and tips with colleagues * Whatever we want it to be! What the group WILL NOT be: * A place to moan and whinge all day. We all love a good moan from time to time but it would be great if we try to keep things as positive as we can (at least to start with!) * A part of Centric Health. Moss, Aodha, and all the management and support teams in Balally are all fabulous colleagues, but they aren't GPs so they won't be members of this group (Ray is but that's because he is a GP!). * Heavily moderated. I still have my day job, so I won't be able to monitor every message that is sent, so please don't libel or insult anyone unless you absolutely have to There aren't many other rules that aren't covered by the laws of common courtesy. Please don't forward any messages or information from the group on to anyone outside the group, unless the person who wrote the original post says its OK. And just remember that although the membership of this elite group is only open to contracted GPs within the Centric Health practices, I can't be sure who reads over the shoulder of every GP, so like everything else on the internet you have to assume that any messages you send may not be completely private. Because we all don't know each other, it is polite to sign off your contribution with your name and the practice you work in, just so we know who's who! And it is also a good idea to direct the emails from this Forum into a new folder so that you can review then at your leisure rather than having them all jumbled up with your other day-to-day emails.
