ICT Tip 158 – Windows – The Windows Key

The Windows Key can be used for all sorts of time saving shortcuts.

You can google for a full list but here is a small selection of things it can be used for.

Pressed alone it brings up the start menu.

Press windows key + the letter D will bring you straight to the desktop no matter how many windows you have open.

Press windows key + the tab key [A close-up of a keyboard  Description automatically generated]  (above the caps lock) displays all open windows, you can then click on the window you want to go to.

Press the windows key plus the letter E opens windows explorer.

Press the windows key plus the full stop key brings up emojis 😏😁👻
