ICT Tip 43 – Socrates – Who has looked at a patient file

There is a comprehensive audit trail in Socrates that keeps a record of pretty much everything that happens in a file.
One thing there is a record of is who has looked at a patients file.  This is even if they have not made any changes, i.e. not made the top green, just looked at the content.
This is done using the “consultations viewed between dates” report in the audit log section of the reports.

There are a couple of options, for instance you can search all charts between certain dates.
To check if anyone has looked at a particular patients file then you can search for just that patient by clicking patient and click on the 3 dots to search for the patient.  Enter a start date in the past.  The result tells you any logged in user that has looked at this file between the specified dates.
