Dear Centric Health GP Colleagues
Our own Dr Sinead Hussey (from Women’s Health Raheny and Raheny Medical) is chairing a fascinating MedCafe discussion tonight to share learnings from experts in the field of Obesity Medicine from the recent European Congress On Obesity (ECO) 2025 which starts at 7pm TONIGHT.
Guests will include Dr Conor Woods (Consultant Endocrinologist and Bariatric Physician in St James Hospital and Blackrock Health) who will talk about Obesity & Metabolic Dysfunction-associated Steatotic Liver Disease (now called MASLD but you might know it as NAFLD or just “fatty liver disease”) so make sure to join this timely chat from 7 - 8pm tonight.
There will also be special guest appearances from Dr Rachel Collins (GP with special interest in Obesity Medicine), Louise Nolan (ANP in Co Wexford), and Prof Daragh O’Neill (GP in Co Louth, but probably most famous for giving me my first job when I arrived in Ireland in 2001!).
We are all being asked to prescribe these new-fangled weight loss injections every day by our patients, so we all really need to know how our treatments fit into the overall strategy of tackling problematic weight gain. Here’s your chance to hear what the experts views are, and there is a chance to ask questions too!
Sinead says, “My goal as Clinical Lead in Women’s Health for Centric Health is to support continuing education for GPs which is easily accessible and includes evidence-based pathways with clear practical steps to guide their daily clinical practice.”
Please join Sinead and company tonight by registering on the link below. Just click the button that says “REGISTER HERE” and follow the prompts. See you at 7 sharp!
Kind regards
Paul
