With every practice (except maybe very recent additions to the group) being on Socrates, cross cover should be much easier than ever before Could we circulate a request to all practices asking for expressions of interest for individuals willing to be available OCCASIONALLY to cover other practices? Hi Gavin (and Ray, Aodha) That is very disappointing indeed. The lack of consultation capacity across the network is a concern. I know it is being addressed. I am hopeful that the work being done in the virtual clinic may in due course be able to be developed into a service that would be able to help practices like yours, eg when the crisis hits (and even when it doesn’t), a % of the demand can be passed over to the virtual clinic. Of course there are lots of things to put in place but the core ingredients (like a bunch of docs waiting and ready to go!) are there now.
