Dr Michael Power is a graduate of University College Dublin. He completed Internal Medicine Residency Training in Milwaukee, US; Anaesthesia Training Ireland and Intensive Care Medicine Fellowship Training in Pittsburgh, US. He is a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine at Beaumont Hospital for over 20 years. Dr Michael Power is a former President of the Intensive Care Society of Ireland, a former Clinical Director of Critical Care and Anaesthesia Clinical Directorate at Beaumont Hospital, and a former member of NPHET 2020–2022 and was the Clinical Lead for the HSE National Clinical Programme for Critical Care from 2010-2022.
