Dear Colleagues,

We are more than delighted to invite all of our clinical colleagues across our Centric Health network to register to attend our forthcoming 8th Annual Centric Health Conference and Evening Celebration on Saturday 22nd October 2022. This includes all of our 260 GPs, 175 Practice Nurses and 40 Primary Care Assistants which amounts to 475 clinical colleagues across our network of 70 Centric Health practices nationally.

With the greatest of respect to everyone after a forced Covid hiatus of over 30 months, we invite you to embrace a collegiate responsibility to attend this conference, our first opportunity to reconvene, and we intend to go above and beyond to help you make this happen.

We are hosting our conference with our academic partners at O’Reilly Hall, UCD Belfield and are thrilled to have secured The Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire for our evening Gala Dinner Dance Celebration.

For everyone living outside of Dublin we are providing accommodation at The Royal Marine Hotel on the Saturday night and for those of you travelling from afar offering accommodation also on the Friday night so that we can all arrive on time at 8.30am on Saturday to launch into our fantastic day. The Friday night accommodation is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed so if you wish to avail of this also please register early. There will be free parking at both venues. Of course, you will also appreciate given the huge numbers that we will not be able to invite partners to the Celebration on the Saturday night and in many ways that also makes sense so that we can all have the craic together as colleagues.

You will be inspired by the amazing programme we have this year. We have the privilege of hosting the world best selling author Prof. Abraham Verghese from Stanford University. We all know how impressive and impactful Prof. Luke O’Neill has been throughout Covid and will witness also his versatility as he opens our conference with his academic address and also closes our proceedings fronting his legendary band at our evening celebration.

We also have presentations from Dr. John Wynn-Jones, Dr. Mark Rowe and Mr. Shane Martin who are well known to many of us. We have a thought provoking session Chaired by our colleague Dr. Gerry Mansfield on the future of clinical staffing in Irish General Practice with the clinical leaders of the ICGP, IMO and HSE. We have a platform to share exciting perspectives on digital transformation in General Practice within Centric and the HSE and our colleague Marian Mulcahy and Prof. Gerry Bury will be describing the impact of our scope of practice initiatives.

We wish to acknowledge the valuable support we have received from our industry partners – A. Menarini, Lundbeck and ProMed.

We know you will not mind us leaning on you all to attend, so please do answer our Clarion Call on behalf of your practice and we are absolutely intent on having more than 300 of our Centric Health colleagues together for the first time to experience our collegiate spirit and Meitheal.

Please register now using the following link for what will be a most enjoyable and immensely stimulating occasion plus loads of fun! www.centrichealthconference.com/http://www.centrichealthconference.com/
